Priscilla Briggs is a lens-based artist who investigates global representations of capitalism, consumerism and their environmental repercussions. Much of Priscilla’s work over the past ten years was created in India and China. Her work has been exhibited internationally at venues such as the Saatchi Gallery in London, the Landskrona Photo Salon in Sweden, the Minneapolis International Film Festival, the DeVos Museum in Michigan, the National Galleries of Scotland in Edinburgh, the Louisville Photobiennial, and the Living Arts New Genre Festival in Tulsa, OK. Priscilla’s work is also included in the traveling exhibition and publication Civilization: The Way We Live Now, which opened at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Seoul. Her artist monograph, Impossible Is Nothing: China’s Theater of Consumerism, was published in 2017 by Daylight Books. Priscilla has an MFA in Photography and Digital Imaging from MICA and is currently a Professor of Studio Art at Gustavus Adolphus College.
